Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons Kentucky bourbon (spend the money and get the Makers Mark, it’s worth it!!)
1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 ready-made pie crust

Ingredients:
1c butter
2c sugar
1c flour
4 eggs, beaten
2tsp vanilla
1 1/2c chocolate chips
2c chopped pecans
9″ unbaked pie shell

Classic Kentucky Derby Pie

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 stick butter melted
1 cup pecans chopped small
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 unbaked 9" pie shell Or make your own crust
Instructions: Preheat oven to 325. Mix sugar and flour well. Add eggs, butter, and vanilla. Mix well. Add pecans and chocolate chips. Mix well. Pour into pie shell and bake 60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean in the middle. If the crust starts to brown too quickly, cover the pie with foil and continue baking.

Rich and Nutty Kentucky Derby Pie

Ingredients:
1/4 cups pecans, chopped
4 large eggs
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, miniature
1 9 inch unbaked deep-dish pie crust
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk eggs, brown sugar, light corn syrup, flour, butter, white sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until smooth. Fold pecan pieces and chocolate chips into the egg mixture until combined; pour into the prepared pie crust. Bake until the pie is set, approximately 45-50 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
